On September 11th 2014 George Heyman hosted an open meeting on education at Little Mountain Neighborhood House and the community came out in large numbers.

Parents and teachers joined together for a passionate discussion on education and the current dispute.  The discussion was engaging and the common thread was support for properly resourced public education.

George and guests were fortunate to be joined by Vancouver School Board Chair Patti Bacchus and Vancouver-kensington MLA, Mable Elmore.  Both spoke passionately about education and the importance of grassroots organizing to get the government to properly resource the public system.
