Join George Heyman for a discussion on the Kinder Morgan pipeline and tanker expansion project

Posted in:

In January, the BC government approved the Kinder Morgan pipeline and tanker expansion project. The project is on the minds of many British Columbians as they consider the risks it poses to our coast. If completed, the project will result in a sevenfold increase in heavy oil tanker traffic in the Burrard Inlet threatening our local environment, economy, and First Nation communities.

On Monday March 20th, join MLAs George Heyman, David Eby, and Melanie Mark to hear from an expert panel on First Nations, municipality, and economic concerns, as well as legal and community action being taken. Following the panel there will be town hall discussion where you can share your thoughts with your elected representatives.

When: Monday March 20th, 7:00 – 8:30pm
Where: 154 East 10th Avenue, Vancouver (Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral)

Panelists:
Andrea Reimer, Vancouver City Councillor
Charlene Aleck, Tsleil-Waututh Nation Councillor
Dr. Kathryn Harrison, UBC Political Science Professor

RSVP: Space is limited at the venue – please RSVP here to save a seat.
