Vancouver Poverty Reduction Strategy Meetings

Posted in: ,

Government has made a commitment to a poverty reduction strategy with legislated targets and timelines to help individuals, kids and families to move out of poverty and onto the path to success. These forums will help to advise the work of the Poverty Reduction Advisory Forum and the work of the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.

The engagement process will be accessible and will build on the strength of the research and work that has been done over many years by dedicated poverty groups, local governments, academics and others in BC. These groups, as well as families and individuals, have been calling for action on a made-in BC poverty reduction strategy for many years.

There are a few upcoming opportunities in Vancouver to join the discussion on BC’s Poverty Reduction Strategy.
